ULFC announces $50,000 grant to Easterseals Rehabilitation Center

EVANSVILLE — The United Leasing & Finance Championship announced Tuesday morning that the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center will be the first recipient of its new Golf Gives Back Impact Grant.

The announcement was made at Easterseals’ Cullen Avenue location, which houses the organization’s Milestones early care and education program. It will also be the home of the new Golf Gives Back Enrichment Studio.

The ERC will receive a grant totaling $50,000 that will help fully fund turning an existing classroom space into an art studio equipped with materials and introduce a wide-ranging arts program into their early learning curriculum for local children of differing abilities, ranging in age from infants to preschoolers. The program will include visual arts, music, dance, and other activities.

“It is a great honor to receive the first Impact Grant from Golf Gives Back, Inc,” said Kelly Schneider, MHA, President/CEO of the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in a press release. “Art is a universal language that opens doors to learning. This grant will help us create a brighter future for children of differing abilities—those with disabilities and delays, as well as typically developing children—in a truly inclusive environment.”

Golf Gives Back, Inc., is a new 501c3, 15-member Board of Directors formed to oversee all aspects of the ULFC, which was selected as the 2017 Web.com Tournament of the Year. The 2018 tournament will take place April 23-28 at Victoria National in Newburgh.
